Addison Linck, a mobile classic mercedes mechanic
“I choose to work on the street because I find that it requires me to Take on the jobs that I am best at and can perform in the shortest amount of time. Knowing that the car will have to start run and drive, immediately once my repairs are performed, ensures that I will be able to get the job done in the amount of time that is good for both my customers and myself as I am currently completing my architecture degree at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and need to make sure that I make it to class on time.”
Sophie’s BMW E30
“I have always been very attracted to E30's, ever since I was little. My first car was a beautiful red 318 with tartan seats back in Australia. To me, they are the most beautiful car.”
George’s 1995 Ferrari F355
“I was born and raised in Brooklyn, and grew up drooling over cars from the mid 90’s through the early 2000’s (2000-2006 ish), playing Cruis’n USA in the pizza shop near my house, and Need for Speed at home. I used to take trips to BJ’s as a kid just to pick up a model car that I would add to a large bookshelf filled with various models. I’m firmly against letting cars sit. They should be driven as often as possible (time permitting), preferably with gusto!”
Ralph’s 1989 Mercedes 190e
“My love for cars stems from my dad, who played a pivotal role in igniting this passion within me. He had a deep appreciation for European cars, and I have vivid memories of him chauffeuring our family around in his beloved E30 saloons, Saab 900, and Volvo 240.”
Dave’s 1982 Mercedes 300CD Turbodiesel
“I was attracted to the W 123 model Mercedes because of their history and iconic looks when I imagine a car in my head it looks like a four door w123”.
Thomas 1991 E30 318i
“One of the reasons I bought this car was that it’s engine swapped with an S50 out of a ‘95 M3. Which in my opinion, is the goldilocks engine for one of these cars. Not a crazy amount of power, but just enough. It really brings the car to life. “
Tito’s 1986 Porsche 911
“You know how as a kid you have that car poster and dream about owning that car? After years of hard work and perseverance, I was able to buy this car as a retirement gift to myself five years ago. “
Lawrence’s 1992 Nissan Skyline
“I have always had a love for JDM cars. They have always been popular in NY for example with Honda civics especially. The first time I have ever heard of a rare Japanese car was a type r where the steering wheel was on the other side. My interest grew from there, when I came across the skyline I knew that was it. I was 15 years old.”
Bobby’s 1962 Buick Electra 225 Convertible
“My dad, Angelo Bonsangue, bought this car in 1989 from in front of his business in Greenwich Village called the “North Pole” Meat Market. It was parked there and my dad saw it and he told me he fell in love with it. He approached the driver and asked “Hey, is the car for sale?” the owner said “Yes, as a matter of fact it is”. My dad asked how much and the owner put a 5 thousand dollar price on it.“
Zachary’s E28 535is
“I think it’s one of the last truly beautiful front ends of the BMWs. It’s sort of the last shark nose out there. It also hasn’t become as popular as the e30 so it’s still a bit of a slept on car.”
Juan’s 1980 vw rabbit pick up
“I wanted one since high school. I’ve had two others before but I had to get rid of them. Came across this one and couldn’t pass it up. I regret getting rid of the cars so once I got the opportunity to come up on a clean one I had to buy it.”
Zim’s 1996 Mitsubishi Delica
“The first time I saw one in person, I was drawn to it. It was cool, boxy and unusual. I was in Saugerties, NY and saw it parked on the street. I stopped and parked so I could really look at it. I was like “wow this is really cool and right hand drive!”. That night I was on my computer searching Pinterest and instagram to find out more info about Delicas.”
